Partnership includes a Carolina Champions League All Star Match and Night of Champions at American Legion Memorial Stadium

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 13, 2024) – Carolina Ascent Football Club announced its agreement to become an official sponsor of the Carolina Champions League, an organization dedicated to helping local youth clubs establish themselves and play competitive games locally. The U.S. Club Soccer sanctioned league consists of 34 individual academies located in the Carolinas and the Charlotte-area region.
“We are excited to partner with the Carolina Champions League and create opportunities and memories for a lifetime for their players,” Carolina Ascent FC Chief Operating Officer Tim Schuldt said. “We’re thrilled to visit and engage the players and families at their spirited competitions at Matthews Sportsplex during the upcoming fall and spring seasons.”
As the exclusive professional soccer team sponsoring the Carolina Champions League, Carolina Ascent will host All Star matches at American Legion Memorial Stadium, featuring top talent from the Carolina Champions League. The players will be selected by the member academies’ leadership.
Carolina Ascent will recognize the Carolina Champions League All Stars on special nights during home matches at American Legion Memorial Stadium. In addition, member academies will receive special promotional ticket opportunities to Carolina Ascent matches and exclusive experiences dedicated to the Carolina Champions League players.

The Carolinas have long deserved a women’s professional soccer team,” stated League Commissioner Neil Orridge. “We are excited to offer the more than 4,500 players in our league the opportunity to embrace the team. Members will see Carolina Ascent FC at many Carolina Champions League tournaments and competitions to network, and distribute club information to the league’s participating academies, their players and families.
